This may mean that gas hoses used outdoors require more frequent replacement. Are you connecting a gas hose inside a vehicle? Then make sure the hose is in a flowing bend. If it is bent too sharply, it can rupture.
Check your gas hose
For your own safety it is important to check your gas hose annually. You do this by bending the hose and pulling it straight. Do you notice any tears? Then it needs to be replaced. In general low pressure hoses need to be replaced every three years, while high pressure hoses require replacement every five years. The gas hose shows the production date, so you can check how long you have been using the hose. When you are connecting the new hose, you can use water and a bit of dish washing liquid to check for any leakage. If bubbles appear, there is a leak in the connection.
